Hi. Does anyone have any experience or advice they could provide on transplanting a mature Japanese Umbrella Pine? This tree is 15m high and 8.5m wide and is around 90 years old. Does the species transplant well and can withstand root pruning to a large rootball and has the capacity to reestablish well?
Thanks

Geoweb use for heavy trucks
in Trees and the Law

Hi everyone
I am working with a client who is building a road next to a mature beech (F.sylvatica). The road will be permanent and public and will be used by both cars and heavy trucks. I have recommended use of a 200mm Geoweb, and the road will have a wearing course of either permeable asphalt or concrete (all the required Geoweb construction requirements such as edging and stone fill, geotextiles, etc will be adhered to).
My client would like to know of examples of other Geoweb/Cellular Confinement System roads used by heavy trucks that have an asphalt or concrete wearing course, to reassure them that the construction method will be durable long term. Can anyone point to any such examples and provide locations, photos or case studies?
Many Thanks for any examples!!
