  1. Yeah the more I look into this idea, the less drawn to it I am!
  2. Ah ok, so it would be PTS I would want. Basically, I was looking to add it to my tickets/qualifications etc so I can offer services rail-side too. I guess it was naive of me to expect that I could get my PTS and ticket and that would be it... A friend and I are starting out on our own and we're based in West Cumbria.
  3. Hi Khriss, To be honest, I wasn't even aware of them to begin with - a guy I know mentioned about a PTS card so I started looking into it. I'd kinda given up on the idea for now as I'd seen you needed sponsorship to proceed. Would the BTA allow me to work alongside the railway lines do you know?
  4. Hi Guys, I'm thinking of adding a track safety ticket to my collection but not sure the best way to do so. There's two of us who work together but from what I've been reading this morning, you need to be sponsored by a company to complete it; is that right??
  5. Thanks Steve, definitely getting insurance so that's good info to hear, thank you!
  6. Hi Guys A friend and I are starting to offer forestry services but are wondering exactly what insurance we need. At the moment it'll mainly be private land where we'll be felling and clearing as needed. Presumably the minimum we need is public liability but there seems to be a lot of options and I'd rather not be sold something that I don't need. I'm sure we'll need to add to it as the operation grows but really just looking to make sure we're legal to start with. Thanks
