  1. Nice thanks for that!. Shouldn't that be rebuild kit RB-283 or am I missing something?
  2. I guess if my problem is related to the metering valve and needle, perhaps I shouldnt worry too much about the gaskets fitting, as long as I get a new needle, spring etc.
  3. Thanks for your help with this, really appreciate it! I have looked up RB-51 kits but the gaskets look different on my carb they have cut outs where the kits dont, see attached pic. When I search on the other numbers I don't seem to get any results.
  4. Its a Zama carb, but to be honest I'm not sure out of all the numbers what I should be searching on..
  5. Maybe I am...Lynx sold me the dream but left me high and dry!
  6. Thanks I think thats probably the first port of call. Unfortunately finding an Echo parts supplier seems to be quite hard in the UK. I've tried 2 places off the Echo UK website, trying to get a carb rebuild kit and neither have got back to me in over a week.
  7. Thanks, but I don't think its the same issue. The leak occurs even overnight after use, when stored in a relatively cool room, so doubt its the fuel boiling and pressuring the fuel tank. I did wonder if it was vents in the fuel cap and unscrewed it, but it didn't seem to make any difference.
  8. The metering arm is the pivot pressed down by the diaphragm which presses the needle in and out? If so that seems OK. I took it apart and cleaned the needle reassembled, my only thought was there wasn't much movement on the needle created by pressing the pivot down.
  9. Hi. I have a weird issue with my 4 year old Echo 2 stroke. It starts and runs perfectly first pull, but fuel starts coming out of the carb air intake and eventually soaks the air filter causing the engine to die. I've dismantled and cleaned the carb, everything looks fine, diaphragm soft etc. Fuel primer bulb pumps and works fine. Fuel even continues coming out for several hours after the engine has stopped. What could cause this? Any help appreciated.
