  2. I didn’t want to hijack the other thread asking for materials so thought Id make a separate thread for updating guitar builds as I make them. 
     

    I’m by no means an expert but I’m enjoying figuring it out as I go and if there are any other luthiers it’d be great to see what’s on your workbench too.

    To start off here’s the cedar strat I sealed and started to paint this morning. Going to do the decal and then shoot the gloss before buffing it all out.

  3. Hey, TommyB’s brother here.

     

    Here’s some of the guitars Ive made. Theyre all cedar with maple necks and rosewood/sonokoling fingerboards.

     

    If you’ve got any Alder (alnus rubra) basswood (tilia americana) or swamp ash (fraxinus americana) thats 530 x 360 x 44 mm would be perfect. Ideally ready to use as Ive not got a big workshop to dry it out.
