An exciting opportunity awaits to join Blenwood Ltd an established grounds maintenance company servicing local authority and housing associations. We are looking to employ an experienced groundsperson/ climber to carry out the role of Team leader.
You will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of your team whilst maintaining discipline, performance and risk assessment compliance to ensure the health and safety of yourself, your team and members of the public.
You will be an enthusiastic and experienced arborist with good communication skills to enable you to liaise with clients on a daily basis and oversee aerial operations from the ground, assisting the climber with various pruning and dismantling operations. Other works would include total site clearances, weed spraying via chemical control and general landscaping and planting works.
You will have the necessary drive, commitment and attention to detail to help maintain our reputation for providing a quality service to our clients.
A comprehensive working knowledge of BS 3998 and other industry related standards.
This position would suit an experienced climber wishing to further their career with a responsible role mentoring staff from the ground.
Contracted basic working hours are 39hours per week Mon - Thurs between 0730 and 1600 and Friday 0730 and 1500.
An excellent basic salary circa £25k to £29k, dependent on qualifications and experience
20 days annual leave + public holidays - provision of all PPE,Climbing kit and uniform.
