  1. evening all, I'm after a thor vertical splitter and info. Ive used one and its great so would like my own one but which one i don't know. i would like linkage one and pto driven one with a table for a sensible working height? can you get removable tables if i wanted to split long bits? I'm in the south in sussex if anyone has one for sale? thanks.
  2. This winch has been stripped cleaned and re greased a new pin put in the free wheel lock release arm whatever it’s called put back together and is perfect pulled a few trees with it and has helped me pull the axle trumpet off the yard tractor/forklift to help do a seal. Thank you again so very much.
  3. Ah 6 hour drive! I think I’ll pay the postage, would have been nice to shake your hand say thank you and bring you somthing in return.
  4. Thank you, I can defiantly use that, where abouts in the world are you?
  5. What was the make and model you went for? Would be interested to look them up? Is this the sort you mean Where did you get it? Other than eBay I’m not sure where to look. Yale are American? Are tractel English? thanks.
  6. Hi all I’m in the market for a human powered winch for pulling trees in the right direction and a bit of tree from pond removal possibly pulling stuff on to trailers I like the idea of an old monkey winch because I like old machinery but I do like the idea that a tirfor can have an endless rope so no need to keep resetting. If it was a tirfor I would probably go for the big one, maybe overkill but rather be safe than sorry. What are people’s opinions on these? What have people got for sale in the Sussex sorry and hampshite areas? And if not where/how much is a brand new tirfor? Thanks
  7. Morning all I'm new here so apologies if this is in the wrong place I'm looking for an old style kindling machine stick chopper a single or double preferably in the south. What's about? I know it's the wrong time of year to be looking but never mind. Thanks everyone.
