  1. Perfect, thank yo very much. I'm pleased to say that the puppy is fine.
  2. Two more photos in next post (sorry, the formatting went wrong in this one). First one was taken WITH a flash but that makes it look more brown in colour, however the second one is better in terms of colour accuracy. See next post for pics.
  3. Will do, I'll get a sharp knife and slice it down the middle. Picture incoming in a few minutes.
  4. I'm not sure what a mealy smell is like, best description I can think of for this one is 'earthy'.
  5. Thanks, that looks possible from looking that one up online. So are you 100% certain? Is there any more info that I can give you or more photos that I can take which may help like slicing the mushroom down the middle?
  6. How quickly are any symptoms likely to show up?
  7. Thanks. I've spoken to the vet who commented that it's good that we fed the pup within an hour of him MAYBE eating the fungi as this could help to buffer anything nasty. He said that he could induce vomiting but due to the pup's very young age this may not be a good idea under the circumstances. He advised just monitoring the pup - if anything untoward starts in the next 24 hours then we will of course act immediately. I would though still love to know what type of mushroom it is.
  8. No, he seems fine thankfully. It's equally possible that he didn't touch it at all, it's just that my wife saw him in the area of the mushrooms and something in his mouth, but when she grabbed him all he appeared to drop was a leaf. That doesn't of course mean that he didn't chomp on one of the mushrooms as well though.
  9. Thank you - do I need to PM David Humphries or wait for his reply to this thread?
  10. I found the following under the shade of a cherry blossom tree - not much of a smell to the fungi, just 'earthy'. Unfortunately my puppy MAY have eaten some, hence the urgent ID request. Pics as follows: Thanks
