  1. Thinking of doing a course and training up to become a climber aborist. What are the pros and cons of the job? Is a course required or can you work your way up? I know it's a physical job but do you have enough energy to have a life outside of work. I guess if you eat the right diet, do stretches/ yoga that'll keep you in shape and in the game for longer, right? About me.... I'm 28 and have a background in practical conservation work so passionate about nature, trees and generslly being outdoors. I have a basic chainsaw ticket and some experience as a groundsman and worked for a winter felling small Douglas fir trees. Also getting into rock climbing so this might come in handy

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
