  1. The 395 looks well, I've not run a 575 but have a couple of 576 and they have to be the smoothest saws on the market if in standard euro spec a rather dull saw.. Gut the muffler and add a HD filter and it's a good saw.

I have heard from a few people now that those saws are really smooth running. There will be a hd filter kit coming soon hopefully, I wonder how much of the 575/576 will be in the new 572, from the videos I have seen it looks like it will follow on well from the 372.
  2. Yeah that sounds like a better option, I would like to get a hold of an oem 75cc top end by next year I hope, there is going to be a 575xp in the family soon, never used a 575/576 before so looking forward to that, I think a 562 might be on the xmas list this year too haha.

  3. You could go that route but the cost of finding a mint genuine 372 XPW ? I would go for a dead XPW and have it ported. Of course I mean new top end etc !!

I think realistically it would be easier for me to do I 372 with a big bore kit on it, I have my eye on a 572 when they come out next year too. How are you getting on with the 562? I have seen a company selling them now in the uk.
  4. Thanks Elliot, finding a genuine 372 XPW could be hard..only sold in US and Canada for a shortish time and a lot of stickers saying XPW ! Around 8ish years ago the 375 was sold for a very short time and there was some 372 World Champion models sold. The 372 had the  wording in red. As you know my 375 is a custom made saw only the "decal" is genuine ! and it certainly out performs any "real" 375 out there !
Your first step should be a North American spec muffler with 2nd or indeed 3rd "port" using 266 or 288 deflectors and you will be pleased with the result after giving the high screw a bit more fuel.

That's some great information thanks, I seem to spend most of my time now looking for 371/372 saws for the collection now lol. I have thought about contacting hotsaws or the chainsaw with regards to an 372xpw In the hope they could source a good example of one.
  5. A couple of pics of my main worksaws, "375 XP" 372 XPG then just so they don't feel left out 576 XP, 385 Xp , 288 XP and 562 XPG. The 288 and 576 are just MM'd the rest ported by Hotsaws 101. I first started using the full wrap around 5/6 years ago when I got my first saw from Jack Beelar ( 372 XPW) and now wonder why more lads don't use them If I'm doing smaller stuff and want a very low stump then yes I use a " normal " saw  !

That's some great work saws, I am a big fan of your videos on YouTube, I really like your 375, I was just talking to a friend today about trying to get a 372xpw in my collection.
  6. its the same cyl carb exhaust etc but had the higher top cover 2 versions of filters and has the D009 big mount , thats why   I got it, all my stuff (apart from the 262xp and 550xp ) are big mount  the 562 xp has a higher capacity oiler too as it can run a 24 inch bar

Aw nice that's sounds much better than the 560, I run all the bigger saws on the same bars and chain so that's handy it have the same mount.
  7. I  know  i tend to be a bit daft with saws too i have 7 o them   but not a pro feller lol , my pal is full ticketed and i help him with jobs so love it , my modded  562 xp is my favourite

That 562 is very nice, how does in compare to the 560? Am I right in saying that it runs the same bar mount size as the 372?
  8. i was going to do that to mine for fun too but not cheap to do over here , different air filter  high top cover full wrap ,big dogs , but looks nice , so just got a 395 xp which has all that already :-)

Your right with the costs, it was not cheap but now I have done it I try not to think about the price lol . It could do with some more power tho.

  9. Looks very nice but without some serious porting, has pretty much the same performance as a standard saw!
    Stubby - show him yours[emoji3]

That is true, it's all oem bolt on stuff but it's still a working saw for me right now but when the time comes there might be plans for some porting.
  10.

So after getting my 372 a few years ago I wanted to turn it into a west coast style falling saw just for fun. After looking through the parts diagrams I now have this. 4edbac908a47b0fcb7d1f7e5573a6e4c.jpg
