  1. Hi Jase I had a new engine a radiator fitted and all was running well till last week then I had no power the battery was fine so there is a problem with the electrics but that should be sorted this week fingers crossed. Been hiring another again to get me by
  2. I will change the fan round over the weekend and let you know the outcome next week. Thanks again
  3. Hi Jase got told it could be something to do with the Pistons in the engine burning water there is no water in the oil and no oil in the water. They said the fan was on the right way. I have hired a timber wolf for a month till I can work out what to do. Might try and sell it to someone who knows what they are doing as I have no time to be with out a chipper. I had all my saws stolen as well 2 days before my holiday not having too much luck.
  4. Hi everyone, thanks for your replies! I'm on holiday in the Sputh of France at the moment and chipper has been left at a garage to hopefully be repaired for good so I'll give them a call and let them know before I get charged a fortune for something else. Thankyou. Fingers crossed!!
  5. Ok Thanks, I think well have to get that done... literally nearly replaced everything else it could have been.
  6. Thanks for all your help, we haven't had the radiator professionally tested, so we will try it. DO you know roughly how much a new radiator for one of these is? I didn't know if it might becheaper in the long run to stick a new one on. We have had the thermostat off as well .
  7. Just found out that the chipper is actually a CM202 not a 220. I'm not that mechanically minded, so thought it would be easier if I attached some pictures of the chipper for you to look at.
  8. Ok Thanks Mick I'll check that. We live in England ( Norfolk ) far from 35 degrees EVER! Thanks Steve, ill keep an eye out for PeteB.
  9. Hi, I don't know if anyone can help but have been searching the internet for months for a solution and nothing... My Greenmech Chipper ( 220 I think ) with the Isuzu engine after half an hour of running, overheats and then cuts out. We have had the head pressure tested and skimmed, gaskets replaced. We have given the radiator several good cleans, had all water pipes checked etc and it is still doing it. I cut more vents into the sides of the chipper and that didn't do anything so started running it with the lid open. This worked for a while and it would take longer to over heat, but recently has been having no effect. We have also had the thermo switch/ wiring replaced, oh and put coolant in as well. I am at a total loss... an expensive one at that. I really don't know what to try next. Does anyone have or had similar problems? Someone did suggest putting 2 radiators on instead of one and possibly turning one the other way round??? Thanks. Pete.
