  1. Hi, Sorry if there is a directory for this sort of thing, please redirect me if there is. Is anyone able to quote on milling four beech logs approx. 90cm average diameter (100cm max. diameter) by approx 6ft long and three sycamore logs of similar dimensions? I'd be looking to get a mixture of slabs and timber out of them. I'm based in Wigan. The logs are in a yard with good access but no lifting equipment, although this could be provided if needed. I've not had anything milled before so if there is a vital peice of info I've missed then let me know. Admin, if there is a section for this type of request somewhere move or let me know. Thanks,
  2. Hi, I've got some hybrid poplar logs lying around in the garden. About ten 10m lengths with an average width of 18inches (ish). They were fallen about 18months ago. I'm wondering what I should do with it. Is it worth milling into planks for waney-edge siding (after treatment) or should I just save the work and use it as firewood? It needs something doing with it - at the mo it's just sat absorbing water. Any ideas welcome. Thanks, GG
