  1. Hello! I have a Stihl HLE 71 long reach hedge cutter, which is 2 years old, I bought a good make hoping it would last, it's only been used a couple of times a year for cutting my garden hedge and has already gone wrong. The problem I have is that the gearbox is slipping after it's warmed up after about 15 minutes running, then the blades will not move or move very slowly, but the motor is running at full speed. When it cools down again it works alright for a while, until it warms up again. I've had the gearbox apart and I cannot see anything wrong, looks like new inside. Does anyone have any ideas as to what part could be faulty, as I didn't really want to buy a whole new gearbox.
