  1. Christmas is coming and the lazy workshy thieving scum are out and about Last night under cover of the howling wind some lowlife broke into my container in the Dorking area and stole my 10' and 14' henchman tripods Also tried to syphon the diesel out of my chipper but managed to spill it all over the floor. I'm glad they didn't see the drums of diesel at the back of the container!!! Anyway this is really just a reminder/rant that as Christmas approaches people who don't like hard graft or any graft are after our hard earned kit to pay for their Yuletide festivities My welder recons they used big bolt croppers like tin snips to cut along the seams of the lock cover and then peeled it open like a chocolate orange with some stilsons They couldn't break the padlock so cut the eye off  Thanks to Bugsey for coming out straight away to weld a much thicker steel plate cover with inch thick bar around the base

So that's me down over a grand today but it could have been much worse. I've even jacked up the chipper and removed the wheels as I'm that paranoid now.It really pisses me off I have to spend so much time locking and unlocking all my kit everyday just because some tosser can't go and earn their own money

Anyway keep your eyes open and your kit locked up Deep breath pint of beer aaaaaaaaaaaaand relax

    Rant over for now

  2. Thanks All for the advice Think I'll get a dremmel and replace the spring

Mine's a 2009 model with a single spring with a couple of adjuster nuts top and bottom I had to remove the whole unit and put some heat on it to free up the nuts!!!

Also WesD I take it the £180 was for parts only ?

  3. Hi All

My Jensen A530 doesn't seem to be pulling in the brush as well as it used to I've changed the knives and adjusted the spring but it's still a little reluctant

Do I need to run a grinder over the rollers and do I need to remove them to do this? Any other ideas would be appreciated

  4. The really gutting thing is that they will sell the saws for £50 and it will cost you from £350 upwards to replace each saw and then there is the time and money to fix the damage they did braking in Bad luck before Christmas Here s hoping against the odds you can recover your kit

  5. Hi Just bought my first chipper Its a 2010 Jensen 530 contractor so I m paranoid about someone nicking it Sleepless nights about the cost and sleepless nights about some toerag having it away I ve got a wheel clamp for it and wanted a Bulldog hitch lock but I can t work out what model as the hitch isn t listed I haven t picked it up yet but had some pictures sent to me and can see the name Knott on the draw bar

Any ideas/suggestions gratefully received as I need a good kip
