I've been playing around with SRT for some time now using a rope wrench and vt. All in all I am a total convert but I occasionally run into difficulty returning from limb walks. These are typically long limb walks along dropping branches. For the most part I am ok but where I run into trouble is at the end of a long day where my muscles are fatiguing. Jumping off the limb and swinging into the trunk isn't always an option. What do you guys use to make it easier in these situations please?

This would make a great domestic arb truck.. Why is it so expensive..?
This would be my dream truck. Specially if it were 4wd

i'm going to get another pair of hands in as suggested so there will never be more than a couple branches on the road at a time. The cones will just be there to stop people ploughing through

What incentive do people have to do things right when this is the case. The whole job is only £450 for a bit over half a day. I will just cone the road off to stop vehicles and let them through as they come.

Hi. I have a small amount of tree work to do which would make life a lot easier if I was to close off the road. Its a very quiet and largely unused country road with alternative routes available which probably add half a mile on to your journey. Do I need to be any qualifications in traffic management to do this? I understand you have to inform the emergency services, is that just a case of calling the police or do I need to call each emergency service?
Thanks

Must memorise this to impress the customers

take downs only for me. Never say never though. There may come a day when its absolutely necessary

Thanks for the advice. I think I could probably juggle 5 hours. My difficulty is switching everything else off and really concentrating though

Anybody tried any of the EGO battery powered stuff. We’d a demo of the whole range, strimmer, mower, chainsaw, blower and it seemed great on the day but would like to know if anyone had tried it for longer?
Great battery set-up, charging system and massive range of options.
Did a bit of googling. They are funny looking things and a bit plasticky looking for my liking also. Price seems good though

I've been using Makita tools for a number of year, ranging from their drills and other DIY tools to chainsaws and hedgecutters. As a brand I think they are excellent and rarely get the slagging off that some of the bigger brands seem to. I'd have no qualms giving their battery tools a try if I was in the market

How do people cope with working this in with their schedules, assuming they are also working full time, or running businesses? I am keen to do similar but just don't know how I can juggle it with work and family life
