  1. Thanks for the advice. I'm going to do the job myself. I watched and read these two resources to get me started. https://treestewards.org/take-ivy-off-trees/ [ame] [/ame] I plan on cutting the vines off, about 4-5 feet from the base of the tree and attempt to get the vine roots out of the ground. All I need is All I need is a shrub saw, a bypass lopper, and a clipper.
  2. I need some advice on the health of my Hackberry tree. My neighbor said he had an arborist over and the arborist spotted my tree and said it needed some immediate maintenance to keep it healthy. I haven't been able to track that same person down so I wanted to get some input before I hired someone to save my tree. I think the main issue is that the tree is covered with vines from top to bottom. I've put a few links to my tree photos below: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/46720390/tree/IMG_3802.JPG https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/46720390/tree/IMG_3803.JPG https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/46720390/tree/IMG_3805.JPG Any help would be much appreciated.
