Good stuff, I plan to be climbing as long as I can as I love it (rock climbing that is) I was referring to 48 as the months I have left before I leave the army after a 22year vet and start my new career as an arborist 😉

More like 48 mate but planning for the future has to start early as the last few years will fly. Nearer the time I'll be 100% looking for some work placement to get some experience. Thanks for your offer 😉

I have had a look at the climbing styles and there not to different from what I instruct as a rock climbing instructor and caver (using SRT etc) Not sure if want to lay out that kind of cash in the beginning :-)

All of the above courses are put together into one course that I plan to do when I leave the forces 😀 Initially when I start in this sector I will be looking to work alongside someone until I get the swing of things, long term goal it to "go it alone" or become part of a small team 😉

Cheers mate. I've been thinking it over for a while even researched vehicles, chippers, chainsaws, courses etc so let's hope I can make a good go of it eh :-) Apart from the main course, what would be other "good to have" courses for the arb world? 🤔

I'd like to live comfortably mate and keep in shape too, whilst being outdoors. This is only one of my options but currently it's the one Iam fancying the most :-)

Ha ha, I'll be 40 when I retire but as Iam a military PTI and adventure training instructor, Iam sure the physical side of things "I'll be fine" :-) Iam not due out until 2020 but Iam looking at doing a couple of courses to give me a heads up in the industry to ensure I make myself more employable.
