When milling Yew logs a couple of days ago, when the throttle handle was fully depressed the blade would stop at various times thru the cut.
I thought this may have been down to the toughness of the yew , I had never milled Yew before.
At some stages , I couldn't move forward at all, but I could retract the blade and then it would start moving again.
I even started insertin wedges which shouldn't be needed.
Only when I manually pressed the throttle arm in as far as it would go( the little arm just under the fuel tank)I would get slightly more revs which powered the blade thru the log.
I'm guessing the lack of power is due to the throttle cable stretching, am I right in saying this, and did other users have the same issue ?
The mill has only had about 20 hrs use.
Do I just adjust the cable to take any slack out, although it doesn't feel like it's over slack.
Thanks

I'm not sure if this has been covered ?
I have just picked up a load of blades after having been resharpened and they are coated in a lubricant solution.
Before I use them, will I have to remove the excess ?, would it cause the blades to slip on the bandsaw wheels ?
Would it be ok to leave them as they are ?

I bought the Woodlander Mills ramp which I was happy with , but for some of the larger logs that I was milling I thought I would double up , so had a second post fabricated and bought a winch online so all the weight is shared now and is winched up evenly single handed

Have any of you 130 sawmill owners purchased a spare wheel for your trailer ?
I am trying to source one in the uk and after many photos and measurements, a few of the suppliers in the UK said they couldn't provide me with the size I wanted.
Any info would be appreciated.
Cheers
