I am going all cordless so this lovely little Echo CS280TES 10" top handle saw is for sale. It is as new, has been run up and kept as a contingency saw.  It has never been needed.

It has been filled with bar oil, run up and checked that all is well.

It comes boxed with manual, spanner and bar guard.

I would like £250 ono and postage would be £10-15.

Bought last year, not used just filled with chain oil and run to check all ok.

This is a body only saw and I am selling it as I bought the Ego battery saw to go with my lawnmower.

It is as new, with box and bar guard.

Price is £100 and delivery I estimate would be £10 ish

I have just sold my Makita DCS7901 and bar and have an Alaskan 36" mill for sale. It is not the latest model but is 'as new' as I have never used it.

I would like £150 ono and would prefer pickup. I am in the Oswestry Shropshire area.

If you are interested in a used but excellent Makita DCS 7901 with a 16" bar and an unused Dolmar 28" bar and new ripping chain I have one which has seen very little use as I am a hobbyist only. I bought it from Charlies Stores together with a Granberg Mini Mill and a 36"Alaskan both of which are unused.

Thank you very much for all the interest in the Kiln. It has been sold and collected this morning.

I have a Logosol Sauno for sale as sadly I am not going to use it and it is too good to gather dust in my workshop. It has never been used or assembled and is the complete kit as advertised on the Logosol UK website:

It is approximately 3 years old but is in the original boxes (apart from the kiln) and has been stored in a dry workshop whilst the kiln itself, which has never seen a smidgen of Gorilla Glue, has been stored in a plastic storage box.

I am located about 12 miles south of Oswestry in Shropshire.

Made on the same production line in Hamburg, by the same workers but unbelievably more expensive. I love the red colour but much prefer £200!

PS I have the Mak DSC7901 and it hasn't missed a beat. The bar and chain are marked Dolmar. Superb saw.

It is about £100 most places but Wickes have them for £49.99. I bought one yesterday and I have to admit to being impressed with the build quality and the cut. Its 2000W and has a 16" bar.

A quick google on the model number shows it to be highly rated and it comes with a 3 year warranty.

Echo CS310 ES.

Brilliant little saw, bought from Radmore and Tuckers for about £160ish. Well made, starts first time every time and according to Radmore's, they have never seen one back.

Started me off on Echo's and whilst I still have Stihl's and Makita's, the Echo's really have impressed me as honest work-tools with no electrothimagajigs requiring a return to base for a, 'module exchange technician', to.....exchange the module for a whacking bill.

(Apart from my 'Tiny' of course but that is being sorted in an exemplary manner).

Echo's are a bit like Bedfords of old, an adjustable spanner, a big hammer and a big can of swearwords and off they go. None of this DPF, EGR and other such nonsense. Top kit.

show the boards requiring cutting and rebating. The Logosol Kiln kit is already done and the panels are numbered. It just requires assembly using the large plastic screws and Gorilla glue.

Sauno Wood Drying Kiln | More | LOGOSOL

I have a brand new, never used Logosol Sauno VT3 kiln which I am going to sell and thought I would see if anyone is interested in it. It is 240v.

It is the complete kit, heater, assembly screws and self assembly box and it currently retails for £1400. I am looking for around half that.

Wonderful bit of kit, just not going to use it as plans have changed.

They've all been supplied apparently but not many have taken it.

I wonder why? Its a cracking saw, just not as cracking as the Tiny!

But a £350 ish saw for £120 seems a no-brainer to me and I have enjoyed using it these past two weeks or so.

Well I couldn't wait till tomorrow so filled her up and cut a few oak limbs just to see what she was like whilst the Tiny was still fresh in my mind.

Initial thoughts are bigger, noisier, more vibration and heavier but it cuts beautifully. It has a 10" Tsumara bar, .050 gauge fitted with an Oregon 91PX chain and though not my first choice, it is the standard kit. Quick thoughts,

The brake lever needs a heck of a lot more effort than the Tiny and doesn't seem to be as robust. The shield is solid plastic. However the clutch cover fits exactly (hope they fix that on the 2511), the filter and plug are easier to access but the chain oil adjuster is in a deep well and needs a long thin screwdriver.

Things I miss off the Tiny is the captured nut on the clutch cover, the pull cord handle to undo the fuel/oil caps and the sheer dinkiness of using a motorised Silky.

But the Midi, as I shall call this middle of the TH Echo range, is a cracking little saw. She started after three pulls, sounds more raucous (and probably less refined than the Tiny albeit it is a much older design) but even with the standard supplied bar and chain, she performs very well. I like her, like the overall balance of the saw with the 10" bar and as yet she hasn't burst into flames!

I cannot compare her to the 360 as I do not have one but the Midi is as heavy as I want in a TH saw so even though I did try to 'upgrade' to a 360, I am very satisfied with my £120 Echo. She has a hard act to follow but she is a delightful saw, very well made and with sufficient power and cutting speed to meet my needs.

My 'loan' saw arrived this afternoon courtesy of Ariens/Echo UK, a very nice CS280 TES.

It is considerably larger than the Tiny but it looks very well made and will be working tomorrow.

Still rather taken aback by the very rapid response to the problems with the CS2510 but looking forward to the arrival of the CS2511 sometime towards the end of the year.

I will be purchasing the saw at the handover time, at £120 it is an excellent deal.

So well done Echo for providing a first class example of customer care and responsibility.
