Hi guys new to the forum but not to the arb world I have been felling trees on the odd Saturday with/for a friend for a while as I have my 30/31 and kit but now looking to get my 38/39 this summer will also be doing my trailer licence and chipper ticket very soon as well as hopefully c1 or c license.
I enjoy working outdoors and love the challenge of the more complicated side of things like thinking up ways to extract timber from remote areas and the more complicated rigging setups to put the timber right where you need it (I'd love to one day work for a firm where I could get to play with Trivect rigging!)
There's 3 reasons for my post firstly I wanted to introduce myself here before asking for any help or advice, secondly it would be good to know which tree firms are on here that are local to me and thirdly I have been asked by my target shooting club if I could get hold of some free woodchip to lay on the tracks through the field as I had to pull some cars out last weekend due to the mud so if there was a local firm that doesn't use their chip I'd take a load off them to save the £20-£30 tip fee
Thanks for your time
Sam

Hi guys I'm new to the forum but have had a look through this topic and I'm curious as to how much value having things like a c1 or c class licence actually adds to what your "worth" and also things like cs34/35 I'm assuming very little unless it's for a big commercial contractor?
