Echo cs 360 tes ,no auto tune nonsense ,£370 & 2 yr pro warranty.

Anybody had any trouble with the chain adjuster bending "long threaded rod" ours bent today for no apparent reason.
-
I contacted them via ebay today asking if the 3/8 058 chain is going to be made available on there (also reminded them about this thread as they have stopped posting on it). If they do put the 058 on ebay at similar prices to the 063 then I will be getting a couple of chains, not paying the website price though.
I also contacted them via ebay regarding 3/8 058 chain & there reply was that they will make me a couple of chains & to follow the link they had supplied, following the link it took me to an ebay ad for a Husky chain but with a 063 gauge so I gave them a ring & they assured me that buying that chain I would receive the right one "058".
Anyway I purchased the two chains for £14.19.

At £6 a chain I think they're worth trying, and they're cheap enough to become throwaway items when they blunt. If it cuts alright I'll try one on a bigger saw
We use one on a Stihl 261 18ins 325,there good chains, little bit grabby when new but after a sharpening or two there fine.

They are available on the website if you want one clearly marked as C2SFT chain:
1.5mm (.058") Gauge Chains - Northern ARB Supplies
However they are not listed on ebay where the same chains are sold at considerably better prices.
Okay thanks for that,it was ebay that I had been looking on.

The price difference on ebay seems to relate to buying multiple chains, buying 2,3 or 4 chains works out much cheaper than buying a single chain this discount does not appear on the website. Also the piranha guide bars are on ebay but not on the site.
I did notice there were 24" 84 link Piranha chains for Husqvarna on ebay so assumed I had found something suitable for my echo but when I read the details they were 063 gauge rather than the 058 typically run on a 24" husky bar. I hope people are reading the details on ebay before buying rather than just assuming they will fit because it says it fits a particular model.
Had an email yesterday from Northern Arb supplies stating that they now supply all chains for 3/8" & 325"......I also need one for an Echo 620 which is 058 gauge rather than 063.

When I looked over the saw before purchase one of the first things I noticed was how nice the chain brake worked very slick hardly any pressure to activate it, once I got home I read the operators manual and apparently it has an extra safety feature, if you tap the nose of guide bar against something the chain brake automatically operates .

Well, that same guy I mentioned was given a 620SX for evaluation. Obviously more power at the price of more weight. As he spends all day in the woods, he chose a smaller one - fully equipped it's couple kilos lighter - easier on your back and really nimble when cutting branches. Of course if you intend to work on bigger trees and spend most of the time bucking it - 620 will shave off some time
In the end we decided on the cs 620,bought it today with 20ins bar:thumbup1:

Runs nice. Comparing to the older CS-500 it has a lot less vibrations on idle. Comparing to the CS-510 it has more power at any revs. My friend uses it daily in the forest since august 2015 - nothing wrong happened except usual forester scratches And yes, as usually it takes few tanks to unleash the full power - it's really noticeable.
Thanks for the reply, trying to decide whether to get the 501 or go for the 620 we already have the 360 tes good little saw.

So I was at my local husky/echo dealer today having a natter and he reckoned echo had brought out a new professional ground saw at the end of last year which was more or less the equivalent of a 550xp/261. He said it's not on their website yet but they'd had one in and sold it. Said he'd get another one in the same time as a 2510 for me to demo I can't remember the model, anyone got any ideas what it might be?
Could be the CS 501 SX.

saw was fixed on warranty mid november had new top end, carb, filter and plug. Problem is same thing has happened again and saw is out of warranty now. Goodbye husqvarna.
Who deals in dolmar and echo on here as would like some prices on saws in 60cc range?
