  1. No.no yet but,do I screw in or out? after looking at the internal gauze filter I couldn't see anything wrong with it all I did was pull the top off and it all looked clean, I tried pulling the hose of it and tried starting it , but all it did was run ( roughly ) but as soon as I switched it over it died straight away?
  2. Hi NFG, Thanks for your suggestion, I think I may have found the symptom. Not sure of what is causing it though. It works perfectly if I start it and then undo the fuel cap, I have checked the fuel tank filter and that looks fine?
  3. Good morning Spudulike, Thanks for your reply. The saw in question doesn't get to much use really . it is mainly used for cutting up logs and fencing when they need replacing. so could that be a major factor? I think the first thing I will try is the internal gauze filter, Is that the one which harrythecat is talking about?
  4. About 20.-30 seconds
  5. Hello, I am have a problem with my ms-230 chainsaw in starting it. What happens is when I try and start on the cold setting of the choke it does fire up, I then switch it over to the hot start which it runs very fast which is normal, the problem arises when I try and switch it over to the normal setting which it runs for a second then dies completely. it does this every time, I have looked at the filter which is fine.any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.... Thanks, Sam
