  4. cheers bobh, i did read somewhere that you can pinch it directly over the rivets, but I would prefer a flatter mount to help keep the bar straight, for the last cut i used a rectangle tractor inner-tire. it melted itself to the saw but the bar didn't move an inch, As for buying one from rob, i am a much cheeper skate than you I could just buy my stairs architraves and skirtings but where is the fun in that. Ed
  5. Thanks sandspider, its always nice to get some feedback, the welds are holding out pretty well so far, the only one i have cracked so far is on one of the grub screws but that wasn't very good to start with.
