  1. You can still get a permit from FC Scotland , but it's only for timber left after harvesting and you must cut by hand ( no chainsaw ) and no vehicles allowed either . So a bit pointless .

    I know a guy that has one and this is what he told me a few weeks back .

    Thanks for the reply, if that's the rules then as you say it's poinless getting a permit you will struggle to get back the money you paid for it

     

    So it looks like i will have to order a load to collect from FC
