This chipper had the main bearing replaced a few years ago (please see last photos) and has done little work since. The no stress control would require a reconnection. Apart from a paint job the chipper is solid and chips up to 10” diameter. Collins 10 ton tipping trailer with extended drawbar (for this chipper set up) available in my other listing. Tractor not for sale. The PC Woodchipper The PC Woodchipper is a powerful 3-point hitch-mounted woodchipper for tractors with 80-150 hp. It is powered by the tractor’s PTO through a power-transition axle, while the woodchipping machiery is driven by the tractor’s internal hydraulics. The PC Woodchipper is available in a srandard model with a continuous discharge chute which can be rotated 360 degrees and locked for discharge disrection. When setting the feed plate, the discharge distance can be adjusted. The woodchipper can chip branches and wood to a diameter of up to 22 cm, depending on the nature of the wood. The infeed chute’s opening is so big that it is normally unnecessary to trim the wood before treatment. The infeed rollers are horizontal, providing the strongest construction and best secuurement of the wood. The woodchipper is available in a standard model with 1 overlying infeed roller specially constructed; an extra underlying roller can easily be added for further securement of the wood. The inertia force in the powerful rotor ensures smooth running with least possible shock load. The PC Woodchipper is easy to service and maintain and can be disassembled without using special tools. The use of woodchips can be expected to increase heat output in relation to ordinary firewood by 20%. Similarly, 1,000 litres of fuel oil for heating can be replaced by 14 m3 of woodchips. At current oil prices a change to woodchips may well be advantageous. In addition to heating, woodchips can also be used for soil improvement or composting. The PC Woodchipper is CE-marked and meets the requirements for machine protection of the Environmental Law. Chipping disc diameter: 942mm Capacity: 5-30 m3 ph Chipping disc thickness: c:47mm Motor: 540/1000 rpm max Number of knives: 4 Power requirement: 80-150hp Infeed opening: 270x270mm Hydraulics: Tractor-driven Axle diameter: 70mm Weight: c1,100 kg

The tipping gear works though a seal could be replaced on a ram. The tow bar has been extended in the past by a farm agricultural engineer (CJ Cox Bagber) to allow for a wood chipper to be carried at the same time (please see my other listing PC Stal). The trailer would benefit from an overhaul as multiple points require welding or it could be treated to a whole new bed from such as the skip factory Hurn, Bournemouth, tyres are very worn and the hydraulic piping is frayed. Other than that the sub frame is in good order. There is also a tail gate available at additional cost, should someone wish to take the silage sides off. Tractor not included in sale.

  8. Here is the link with interview. Tree surgeon who suffered serious injuries when cherry picker toppled over wins court battle (From Bournemouth Echo)
  9. Tree surgeon who suffered serious injuries when cherry picker toppled over wins court case. A SELF-EMPLOYED tree surgeon who suffered serious injuries while working on an unsafe machine is hoping for a significant payout after winning a four-year legal battle. Chris Baxter, from Blandford, suffered multiple injuries after the cherry picker he was in toppled over while he was pruning trees at a property in West Dorset in December 2010. The RQG 18 E Spider cherry picker, which was supplied by Lymington-based Up and Out Platform Hire, slipped off its floor pads, toppled over from height and crashed to the ground. The accident left the 33 year-old with a fractured spine and spinal cord injury, a dislocated shoulder, fractured ribs, pelvis and leg and broken teeth. On Monday [January 12] a judge at the Royal Courts of Justice ruled Up and Out Platform Hire had supplied a machine that was not safe to use, thus paving the way for Mr Baxter’s legal team to negotiate a settlement. Mr Baxter said: “It’s a massive relief to finally know that this accident was caused by the machine and not by my error or an error of my employees. “When the machine was installed I believed that I was been given the right equipment for the job and that machine would be safe for me and my employees to use – especially because the company came to help set it up. “I now understand the machine is no longer in production and the new machines of the market have a significantly different design to make them safer.” In a statement, Angela Batchelor and Sofie Toft, injury lawyers at Irwin Mitchell, representing Mr Baxter, said: “This is a big boost for Chris as today’s judgment now paves the way for us to negotiate a fair settlement on his behalf. “The judgment also raises serious concerns regarding the safety of using the Spider RQG 18E machine and we hope that others still using the machine will take note of this judgment and ensure that they take the necessary precautions to keep their workers safe.”
