I agree 100%, its very rare we get asked for anything else these days.We are going through all this shizzle now. did the 1 day rolo training last week "load of bollocks"! got to book the cscs touch screen now.
What was the role course test like Simon? Passed my managers cscs card this morning and with a couple of nights and 2 hours revision this morning I breezed through it.

Anybody local to Bolton in need of getting rid of woodchip over the next few days? This for my business partner who is in desperate need of some on his domestic garden maintenance and would happily return the favour with some tree work if you can help by taking all the chip you can throw his way. Contact me on 07929500475 and ill pass you over to him.

Yeah. Without fail at least one phone call of an estate with 100-250 houses. Then I always price them up on weekend in the van so ppl see me when they are out washing the cars or just parked up. Plus that one job always leads to two or more as neighbours talk. 😉

I've never used a delivery company I tend to get apprentices delivering them when we are setting up or rained off. We pay them commission so they know see a direct benefit from doing it. I would never trust some company employing doleys who just want toss each other off and drink monster energy drinks on the xbox.
Minerva print in bolton, Lancs did me 10k for £99 in colour.

Looking forward to representing my business on Wednesday.

Looks good buddy 👍
Cheers mate.
Got a lot more work to go on. Especially tree work. But I think in today's age, a website, Facebook and Twitter are positive ways to collect new customers. Word of mouth is number one but these above help back it up

Not sure lol. I'm going in to add all last year's work at the weekend, so I'll message you then and tell you. Had 3k hits this year which 8 I've not a clue if that's good or not as we don't pay anyone to bump us up on Google. Get yourself a facebook page as well and get your customers to like it as you go along. Social media defo works for us as the most hits come from the links we post on our page

It's easy to set up with some imagination and computer know how and I can update pictures as much as I like without any cost to me.

I've got a website with them. Was ideal when I set the business up and been changed a few times since and for £10 per month is cheap compared to laying out 1500-2000 on a website when your first starting out. The business cards are good as well.

It's bogging Spud. The guy who looks after our gear said it was on its way and the last time we used it, it came close to getting thrown out the window on the way back home lol

Merry Christmas fellow members.
I've recently upgraded to a ms201t as I'm in the process of upgrading some equipment. I know there is a massive debate between the two but 12 month warranty swayed me after giving the 200t a new pot and piston and clutch in recent weeks. But I'm after moving the 200t on and was wondering if anyone local (Wigan/Bolton) does a refurbishment service for the carb before I sell it. I'm not one for selling something that needs attention and want to sell something they can use straight away.
Cheers

Lostock. I know all the places we used to use have put there prices up so we have created our own.

We have a large barn that needs filling and we will take any chippings and large timber they normally pay to get rid of. I know most keep it to sell as firewood but some might want to save some money in the winter months or just have too much to handle.
Direct message or contact us on 07929500475 to arrange.

I'd say that's the way to go, and if you're using it commercially don't skimp on the materials either. I'm not a heavy user, only what's needed to heat our own place, but the most of the things I've seen for sale would've been knocked in to shite a long time ago whereas this thing will probably be about here longer than me!
Definitely. My old man used to say I'd break Tonka toys and I did hahaha.
I want it heavy duty enough to last years of use and so that it can't be moved by any of the scrap metal posse. ;-)

I've got a guy who makes us all our gates and railings and these are defo something he can make me. I've got some big wood (2' to 5') that needs cutting on the ground. But majority is 4" all the way upto 12 and I like using the smaller diameter timber as a lot if elderly customers like it as they can grip it easy when picking it up. Some of the s**te I've seen on ebay wouldn't last 5 mins.
Thanks again chaps ;-)

Cheers guys. Just started using the website and app so thanks for the direction ;-)
ROLO training providers North west.

Afternoon all.
Can anyone recommend a training provider for the ROLO course? Emailed Millhouse and Ash traning but surely there must be more than two who do this. Also any info into the course much appreciated as I passed the managers cscs this morning and from what I've read it's similar but more site specific.
Cheers
