You will: • Assist the Contract Manager with the smooth operation of all arboricultural operations that are carried out in the area. • Supervise activities including tree planting, stump grinding, Traffic management operations for a range of public, private and corporate clients • Be responsible for the supervision of staff, work planning and organisation, machinery and plant management, supplier and subcontractor management • Also be involved in monitoring and implementing Health and safety systems and controls, along with client liaison and quality control As the successful Contract Supervisor, you will: • Be highly driven • Have sound people skills with the ability to manage staff from multi disciplined contracts • Be a forward planning team player • Set and achieve all targets • Ideally have a sound knowledge of all countryside, landscape or grounds maintenance operations • Have the ability to tender small and larger projects to aid in the contracts profitability • Ideally hold a formal qualification in one of the above disciplines • Have a full driving licence.   2. Glendale is seeking a qualified and motivated Arborists to join Glendale to work from our Surrey County Council depot in Witley, Surrey. Pay Scale will be £9 Per Hour - £11 Per Hour Dependant on experience, 20 Days Paid Annual Holiday + Bank holidays.Company sick pay/Overtime/Tailored training packages. Working Hours are 7am-3.30pm The candidate’s key responsibilities will be climbing and undertaking arboricultural duties including tree pruning, dismantling and felling. The Arborist will need to be flexible, reliable and have a thorough, proven knowledge of all aspects of leading teams on tree works, holding the requisite NPTC Certificates and a clean driving licence, preferably a full pre 1997 or subsequent trailer test award licence. The candidate must ensure that Health & Safety regulations are followed at all times. Requiring genuine commitment, this position offers an exciting challenge and a chance for highly motivated team player to advance their career within a stable working environment in a successful and growing company. The candidate must also be able to clearly identify and meet the requirements of Glendale’s customers.
