  1. I love my proto. Get it with the Bluetooth. It helps keeping in contact with your crew without the yelling and hand signals. The muffs alone keep everything quite. The only thing I don't like about the shield is that during the winter it fogs up and you can't see that well. But if you drill some holes by the mouth piece it works great. The mesh shield just lets all the saw dust through unless you have the glass that go with it I wouldn't use the mesh shield. If you have the vents open they work terrific. Then if you want to keep the heat in close them up and it's like having a winter hat on.
  2. I'm looking to start up my own tree company in Stratford, CT. I was wondering how I should start off and what license I need? Or if anyone knows who I should contact to learn about this?
  3. I do all my trees by climbing and it sucks when I don't use a topper. That's how I started to. Then I found it easier using the top handled saw
  4. The 540 is supposed to have more power than the 201. Tho. I want something with power and can cut fast with a 16" bar.
  5. I'm looking to get a new saw soon. I have the ms200t but it's getting old. Need to get in the new. Who recommends what and why?
  6. I was 17 when I started just practicing. I used the DRT and I would practice limb walking and stuff. My friend from a tree company would come over with a bucket truck and set up ribbons on branches and I would have to walk out or find a way over there and cut the ribbon with the scissors.
  7. So who would recommend the single rope or the double rope? I normally will use single rope if I'm doing tree removals then use double for trimmings.
