Hi Tim, Just seen your advert for a scrub basher. Im self employed, insured, have my own saws and CS30/31/32. I've done hundreds of hours behind a strimmer-both with nylon and a blade but dont have tickets for one. Im full time working in West Sussex but thought I'd get in touch to find out how many days/ when, where etc your work is?

Cheers

Hi Handcutter,

Im 23, self employed and have been production cutting since January. I actually learnt to cut properly in East Sussex (Jan-June) and have since moved back home to Aberdeenshire for the summer.

My intention is to move back south come October in order to cut through the winter again so currently Im looking for a crew to come and join.

I have my CS30,31 & 32 and Emergency first Aid. Im confident clear felling hornbeam & chestnut coppice (including basic chestnut product selection) as well as self select thin on Birch & big Ash. I've done some oversize Oak and Chestnut, as well as a fair bit amongst softwood but i'm guessing this is of less relevance to you!

I should say i am only interested in felling & cutting timber, I have no desire to end up as a groundie just chucking brash through a chipper or scrub clearing.

I appreciate iv only got 9 months proper experience but Im very capable of carrying my weight in a crew.

Cheers
