  1. Well Folks I have a small 435e, which has an easy start system, the problem is that the recoil spring has broken for the second time in as many months. The chainsaw is only a few months old and I only use it at weekends. But I am beginning to think this isn't the saw for me. Has anyone else has similar problems with easy start saws, and just to confirm I ain't pulling hard when starting. But because of the quantity of trees that needs cut I may be trying to work with adding on a few £ with the dealer to upgrade, which hopefully works.
  2. Thanks for the info folks- enough for me to make a start to sort it. @NFG- I know I am fortunate to get 5 acres of woodland to cut- but it is a daunting task for a newbie like myself although I am up for the challenge. Thankfully they aren't huge trees- around 12-18 year old hardwoods, so easy enough to handle.
  3. Hey All I am new to this forum so bear with me. I am also new to the world of chainsaws. I was given around 5 acres of forest, all hardwood to cut for firewood. I decided to buy the husqi 435, appreciating it is not a pro saw. So far it is ideal for cutting the trunks down to logs however one issue is that it doesn't idle too well before it cuts out and can be quite hard to restart without putting my foot in the handle to keep the throttle going. Any suggestions other than buy another saw of course. It is brand new and still under warranty but I thought if it was easy enough sorted I would give it a whizz. Thanks In Advance, Donny
