  1. The New FAE Mulching head arrived today as you can see its no pup of a thing and is capable of some serious production fitted with carbide teeth at moment but can also fit sharps for top down Mulching

Will bring you more photos of this when bird nesting is over and we can get stuck in

  2. Thanks for your kind words Eddie I always feel it's important to fit in with the team you are working with as if you understand what every one it the team is working towards it makes for a safer and more productive site.

As you mentioned the Menzi has the hydraulic capacity similar to a 35ton excavator and when you push the wheels out to 6 meters plus wide stability is awesome.

Bottom line is that unless its a very wet site that you can't mark this outfit is one of the safest and most productive out there we can also come up with solutions for the wet sites

  3. Thanks Pete Yes there is a fair chunk of Money tied up there but I hope it will work out ok :scared1:

Rowan with the Shear she will weigh in around eleven and a half ton so not excessive, stability really comes from its stance and where the weight is positioned very stable and planted in use

  4. How ever good as the Tigershear is for My current Project I have a Hans Habbig on the end of the stick and I cant Praise it enough it has 70 degrees of tilt each way but its real bonus is the two sets of gripper arms that Hold Limbs Or whole trees so tight there is no way this girl is dropping anything this makes it perfect for Road side or Rail embankments where there is no marginfor mistakes coupled to the Menzi I would say it is the Safest and highest output Treeshear setup available for Hire in the UK

  5. Hi Guys I thought I would start a thread showing some of the work I do with my Menzi Muck excavator in forestry and Arb work.

As a some of you use excavator mounted tree shears I thought I would show you some of my shearing when I first bought the Menzi I bought a Tiger shear 400 from Exc@v8 in Kendal a fantastic shear and it has been worth its weight in Gold dropping Larch

  6. New Holland spools have been horizontal for some years now put pressure in left return in right pull lever towards you and all will work right way round if there is a black knob near the top of spool that will select single or double acting or detent of lever in cab hope that helps

    Sean

  7. Can you set the machine to self level? Or do touchable to be in control of each leg all the Time?

No fancy self levelling all seat of pants stuff the main sticks are normal excavator pattern the 3 top buttons are actually min joysticks that you control with thumbs for each leg up down in out steer and claws up down the 4 pedals are forward/rev telescopic dipper in/out winch in/out shear open/close so a bit to get in your head but not to bad

  8. I saw a lad cut the thigh of his right leg with Decent pants on it was alarming the fibre in the trousers choked the saw straight away but it was so quick it didn't bare thinking about how much flesh would have been ripped off his leg without them. the lad in question is a good steady bloke that just made one slip that could have changed his life for ever
