I've seen 550xp coming in to the workshop fried, same issues. Just because it's electronic doesn't mean you can't treat it like a normal carburettor set up. If it won't idle, it could well be the cylinder and piston score. Take it in to your nearest dealer

They said the cylinder & piston upgrade with a carburettor would improve it, I fitted two, never changed a thing. I could tune it till it was on it's limit and it wouldn't perform like a 200T. So really I would sell the 201T, and try and buy a 200T and spend all your money on that over the years because there's no better top handle, the t540xp is great but still wouldn't put it to be as good as the 200. So really I wouldn't buy things for a 201 as I can't see it changing it.

If it starts fine cold. But doesn't warm. Does it start when it's cooled back down? If so... Try a new plug simple first, if still the same the ignition module is breaking down when it's hot. If you still have a present spark when it does cut out, it's obviously a fuel related issue, remember to keep it simple if it becomes a fuel related issue, take off the carburettor, clean it out using brake and parts cleaner or carb cleaner, if you get access try an ultrasonic carb clean. Then rebuild with the parts that came out and try that.
