Hi all....just wondering as to how many nets of kindling you get to the cube? I know it depends on size of net but for the standard 40x50 or 45x50 net...whatever you use? Thanks, Kevin

Hello new on here so I hope Im in the right forum was wonderin if anyone had heard tell of Oakleaf Forestry over in County Armagh. My brother and I were looking foir a firewood processor capable of handling 14 inch logs. Has anyone on here every heard of them or had any dealings with them? Would they be able to provide backup and support if needed? I have tried ringing but have had no joy and they do not have an address on there website.
Hi Ivor,
Iv dealt with him before, hes a good fella and is based around e miles from the Birches/Portadown Roundabout of the M1. I dodnt purchase my machine off him, but I have had him call in to the yard a few times to check on a few problems I was having and he helped me out no problem and refused any payment for the small job. I honestly can say I will buy the next machine off him.
I hope this helps,
Kevin

Scbk,
Cheers for that I am useless on the net ☺☺
-
Just seen these machines, anyone any idea how much they cost? Can't seem to find it on the website?
-
Well the last load I got 75 no 900x900 tote bags, so either my loads are a lot smaller than yours or im filling my bags far too well. I get around 25tonnes of softwood and the sawmill tells me its around 30-32 cubic metres. Am I getting done?

Everything very quiet here in N. Ireland, selling minimal quantities, considering selling all up 😩😩!! But I suppose the low cost oil wouldn't be helping
-
Whats it worth to you? I got it in the machine and have never used it. I use the 4 way split all of the time!
-
Mine is palax power 70s?
-
Hi all, was wondering would anyone be interested in a 6 way splitter similar to that one which was on ebay?
-
Jon I wish I could get it colder, things are still quiet, but when I get my stock all sold ill send it over your way 😉😉
-

My mistake fellas, nothing like giving the newbie a tough time! ☺! I will change it to ton bag.
-
That's the way iv always described them, can't call them tonne bags as they don't hold a tonne 😮
-
HI KEV is that a tipping skip on a trailer there mate thanks and what does it hold thanks jon
Hi Jon,
Aye its a brilliant job, I have two of them. One is on a spring leaf single axle and the other is for use on the forklift, allowing me to tip quickly into customers trailers. It holds 3 tote bags 900x900x900 and they are well filled
-
Hi all....tote bags starting to sell well....bit of a change here. Selling a fair few tipping trailer loads aswell.
Question to my fellow firewood enthusiasts, filling net bags? I have looked through all the forums and people have suggested that the loading tray is the best option. I am just wondering does everyone use this method or do you have your own process.
Many thanks fellas ☺☺
Wholesale kindling clean and biscuit dry
in Firewood forum
Posted
Hi folks, based in North of Ireland, looking about sourcing a contact for buying wholesale kindling in England, bags are plastic 16x28 which are perforated to stop any steaming.
Timber is all brand new c16 KD and will be filled loosely into bags(but very much full bags). The bags will then built onto Euro pallets with 102 on each pallet, with 32 pallets on the load.
I'm wondering would this interest anyone? Price wise I'm thinking they will be around £2.05-2.20 per bag delivered. If anyone has any advice/questions/queries, please contact me .
