  1. Hello, looking for some info on cscs cards. We have cscs skilled worker cards with the additional ROLO 1 day H&S training course. It is my understanding that this is the correct card for tree workers on a construction site as I've never had an issue before. Is this correct?

A company that want us to do some work for them want us to have the CIBT 1 day h&s course saying the ROLO course means nothing to them. They have offered to pay for us to do the course but I'm more interested in what is the correct card & 1 day H&S course for tree workers on a construction site.

I understood that the CITB was for construction workers.

In addition to this they say that holding SSSTS alone won't be allowed on site with out a CSCS & the CIBT h&s. Also never had an issue with this before.

I don't mind making sure everything is correct but I'm not wasting time jumping through hoops for a 3 day job.

    Any info greatly appreciated

    Thanks

    James

Depends what work you are doing surely. What’s the reason for up scaling ? What are your other options ?

The main reason would be be load capacity, making larger jobs more practical. Less visits to the tip site...

  3. Hi all,

I currently run a 3.5t cabstar, but I'm considering up grading to a 7.5t of some sort. I'm interested to hear from folk that have made the switch with regards to truck make, fuel consumption, reliability issues, general cost of running a lager truck. The obvious issue will be size but looking at any Info beyond that.

    Cheers in advance

  5. Where would I go about finding the above, I've searched the Internet & it only seams to come up with a pressure testing kit. The only kit that dose both pressure & vacuum is available from the states & quite costly. If anyone has a link to any suitable kits that would also be a great help.

    Thanks

    Jim

  6. Hello, I'm looking for a supplier of ali plank and associated fittings for the build of a tipper body. Preferably in the Manchester area. I'm unable to find anything on the net not sure if I'm looking for the right product.

    Thanks

  7. Hi all,

I've used forest and arb for most of my supplies and they have always been great. Two weeks ago I ordered a part for my saw they said I should be with me in 9 days fair enough. Two weeks later it's not here so I gave them a call and was told I would have to wait a further 2 weeks so I had to buy another saw online as I can't use a 390 for the work I have next week. so I ordered a 550xp when the delivery info came through the delivery date quoted was the 26th major bummer! ! And a loyal customer left unhappy. Has anybody had issues like this from f & a?

    Thanks
