  5. Hi Jose, Thanks for your reply. Yes I am willing to travel have a van and some tools etc already got a saw which i bought broken and have reconditioned so I am slowly accumulating bits. I completely agree with you about having common sense being more important than tickets I am a handy guy and work hard and can turn my hand to anything. I do some rock climbing as a hobby so I assume I can transfer some of this to the climbing side for tree work ? I just thought that if I get some tickets under my belt it may show willing on my part. Thanks. Jim.
  6. Hi Arbtalk folks, First off just want to say wonderful site, very informative and easy to use and you all seem to be a friendly bunch so Hello. My names Jim im 30yrs of age and from aylesbury, buckinghamshire. i am currently looking at a slight career change and i was wondering if you could look over my plans and tell me if you believe that im heading the right way or if there is anything else i could be doing to better my chances of finding employment. I am planning on doing my cs30 - cs31 - cs38 - cs39 & cs41 along with chipper training. i would like to work as a climber eventualy so looking at trainee position or groundie work to start off with. will the modules i have planned so far be sufficient or would you advise differently ? as i would like to book these asap so any feedback would be great. I have a background in working with wood been a kitchen fitter and worked in my grandfathers saw mill for a few years when leaving school. i now work as a fencer, landscaper and have been bitten by the tree surgery bug and would like to concentrate my career in this direction. I am also mechanicly minded and have worked repairing cars, bikes etc in my spare time. I was wondering if you believe that i would be appealing to an employer to take on once i have completed my modules or if anybody on here has a position that they believe would suit me i would love to hear from you. Many thanks. Jim.
