This looks like a Niftylift V120/30 to me if so the ram rod eye cracking is a known fault.

Look after a cabstar with a CTE Z20 platform not a bad bit of kit two stage teleboom gives great outreach,also look after lots of Defender Platforms (various makes ) great for difficult terrain access shame the defenders are so bloody unreliable though.

Hi your platform should run in 4th gear ok could be the pumps drawing air through drive shaft seal I've also had trouble with the filter housings

10w-30 not a lot of places have it though as I found out when I tried to purchase a load! My company has just got some new ones to maintain and the 50hr service soon comes!

Good trucks don't give much problems cabs are a little prone to rust as are the chassis early ones had a blue painted engine always seemed faster than the later silver engined ones (Perkins phaser?) worked on god knows how many of them

Hi I used to work on quite a few of these my memory of the brakes is that they could be faily instant! Seem to remember you could get hydraulic or air systems? Only problems we used to get were the transfer box chains stretching (used to jump under load) not much of a job to do though .

Haven't seen a RB for a few years! I used to work on them at a utility company we used to fit Ramsey winches on them ( electric ) line pull 2000kg or 1000kg lift would that be powerfull enough?

Very good full time job I would imagine know the company and a lot of the employees too
