Where i work we ship in approx. 2 containers a month from Canada to UK at a cost of roughly 2.2k, using UPS. Thats including all the customs fees, and lorry costs from the port to our premises as well. It migh be worth giving them a call.
Apparently DHL are pretty reasonable as well.
Hope this helps

What a brilliant post - keep it up lads
A couple that i like
"if A**holes could fly - this place would be an airport"
"Some people need a high five. (in the face, with a chair)"

Up at 5 this morning and walked to the top of a hill nearby to watch the sunrise over the crags and limestone pavements. A bit chilly but definitely worth it!!

There once was a Vicar called Don
Whose wife was called Yvonne
He gave a sermon in Crewe
Yelled himself blue
Collapsed on the floor and was gone

Excellent mate! Keep 'em coming!! Theres nowt like a few daft limericks to make you smile!
There once was a man from Leeds
Who swallowed a packet of seeds
a big tuft of grass grew out of his *ss
and you cant see his b*lls for the weeds!

Excellent work there Steve - well done!! I've been thinking recently about making some chairs / stools from tree branches, but keeping a kind of 'rustic' look. Have you got any hints / tips for me?? (i.e how to join pieces together but minimisin screws or nails where possible)
Thanks

Just an idea but could you mount the vice on a strong magnet with a kind of swivelling bracket so you could just plonk it on the bonnet and take it off when you had finished? You could put a piece of colth between the magnet and vehicle to save scratching the paintwork. I have a worklight which is like this and it works very well

Apparently red diesel stains the engine parts so if your not meant to be using it and they come and do a thourough check on your vehicle you could be in for the high jump!! Best to stick to white imho!!

I was looking for a similar saw myself and ended up getting a Husky 365 at the APF. Brilliant saw, very light and easy to use! Go for it!!!

I just twigged what you were getting at! To start with I thought you were barking up the wrong tree but...

Ha ha - awesome!
I bet thats the only tree that grows from planting a bulb!

Was that in a red light area?
We really need to stop branching out on these sad puns and get to the root of the issue!!

Nicely done there!! Although it would've made you cross i bet you it looked funny seeing a chav legging it off down the road on a bike with a strimmer whilst being chased by a van driven by a no doubt very angry man!!

Unfortunately, this is something that happens to anyone who has any decent tools!! I am very reluctant to lend out any of my saws; I'd rather give up a saturday to do a job for someone than have a valuable piece of equipment ruined by some inexperienced or clueless person.
If I do have to lend one out it's only to people I trust and have used chainsaws in the past and it's on a strict "you bend it, you mend it" policy!!

I never used to like cats and we recently moved into a house where the previous owner had kept 5 of the damn things! The whole place stank of cat pi** so we took all the carpets up and even the gripperods were mouldy and knackered, the backs of the radiators were full of cat hair and the window sills are scratched to bits. Since then my hatered of cats has intensified...
I also know someone whose young boy was ill after coming in contact with cat sh*t in their garden
I'm afraid I view cats as potential targets now so they had better keep pout of my crosshairs!

Ha Ha, that's awesome Ian!! At the Arbshow i was kicking myself for not taking enough cash and i dont want it to happen again. I guess I'll be coming in my armoured car with a dirty big safe in the back!
-
A few bits of climbing gear, maybe a blower or hedgecutters, probably other bits and bobs but we'll see what happens!!
Does anyone know whether there'll be any cash machines there??

I used to think well of snap on but their service is pants! It took them about 4 weeks to replace a ratchet screwdriver that belonged to a mate of mine!
I have a bahco set that i got off the reduced shelf at B&Q for 20 dabs which has been fine!!
How about Wurth or Mac tools, what are folks opinions on these??
thanks john441
