  1. Hi All,

I'm trying to gather some basic statistics for a project I'm working on. Initially I need to gather some information on the main avenues self employed arborists most commonly use to find work.

So far, the main categories I have are:

    - Forums

    - Word of Mouth

    - Social Media

    - Employment Websites

    - Recruitment Agencies

Feel free to add any other ways you're finding it, that would be great too.

If I can get just a simple vote on the poll or/and "Arbtalk and Facebook" or any extra information people want to give in the comments, that would be really helpful.

    Thanks

  2. So I'm fairly new to the whole tree thing... I was an outdoor instructor for years and climbed rock ALOT. As naive as it is I had never really heard of climbing trees for fun!!! (properly... ropes, gear and all)

I've done my training and I'm working for an Arb firm near Southampton. I want to go and do some Rec climbing, anyone know of some good spots in or near Southampton? Is there some kind of tree guide, like you get for crags in rock climbing or rivers guides for paddling?

    Cheers
