Thanks Joe. The customer asked us to remove both nests, one was an old birds nest the other was a drey. We worked round the drey and removed the nest.

Great work, tricky job but you made it look easy.

What puzzles me a little about this whole thred having scand over it all again is that many people who have contributed care about doing a good job, presenting a professional image and trying to educate the public and in doing so get arb the recognition as a skilled profession that it deserves and in doing that hopefully get the public more willing to pay what we would realy like them to. But and it's a big but when someone is doing the opposite and presenting out industry badly for whatever reason it's the old ' not my problem ' attitude that comes out which is a real shame.
Just my opinion so let the abuse begin.
Totally agree. So much more needs to be done to improve work standards.

My boss is always reporting poor work carried out on TPO trees never makes a difference as its council approved contractors doing it in are area.I feel things need to change and councils should do more to stop it. This poor work is driving prices down for everyone.

getting looked after, top boss skills
Yes mate, Adam is a top boss when it comes to kit.

My very kind boss got me one and a Lockjack last week, gave it a full run out Monday and it's like a whole new world compared to my old vt and standard cambium saver set up. Get one you won't look back. 👍

Had a great weekend. First time at the show and have to say I was very impressed with how well the competition was run, massive respect to all who helped setup and run things. Will definitely be back next year

Yes it will be back to the same size and thicker in a few years but we try to do are best for the customer and the tree and yes I know don't cut the tree to start with is always best😃.

Took about 1.5m off the top and a little less on the sides, which was the least I could do without my wings lol.

Looks good. Not enough people in the industry taking the time and effort to carry out good tree work.

Are company have got a 261 and a 261c. I'd say stay well clear they are always breaking. Nothing like the old 260 which was a great ground saw

You won't be the only one there who's new to comps mate I'll probably make you look a pro!
It isn't solely aimed at SRT is it?
There's a separate srt comp running as well as the usual stuff, but thought if I'm going then might as well give it all a go.

Just sent my entry form off and this is going to be my first comp. Can anyone who's been before tell me what to expect standard wise as always been put off entering comps before thinking it's going to be full of experts flying round the tree. Been climbing for 4 years now and done a fare bit of srt over the last 6 months.

Currently doing my level 2 cert arb online with Capel Manor and can't really fault it, tutor's on hand to help through email or the forum if needed. There is a lot of reading to do and don't take the course too lightly - it takes up a good 3 to 4 hours a week but once you get in the swing of it, it's a great course full of information.
