If you contact a fuel supplier with your size of fuel store, chip specification, site accessibility. they could tell you exactly what a tonne would cost. If you have hard wood, you would definitely be better off selling as fire wood (logs) and buying in softwood in the round to chip and fuel your boiler. to get a sensible moisture content (Usually around 30%) you are more than likely going to need to season wood for approx 12 months.
