  1. We are in Stone in Staffs. I know it's been mentioned a couple of times - is the exhaust easy to remove and refit? The heated up piece of wire sounds like a good idea.... Will give that a go as it's still in there, rattling around. Thanks again guys.
  2. Haha, that's a good idea. Now just to find a child.....
  3. We do know a guy and the last time we took him a issue like this ( OH had knackered it by cross threading the plug) we ended up having to get it helicoiled. Should probably just take it to him and get OH to leave it well alone. Can see why I am the DIYer in the household now.
  4. I don't own a knitting needle but have tried a pair of thin tweezers and other pokey objects but it's just not coming out . Will have another bash at it tomorrow. Probably literally. Thanks for your help. Claire.
  5. Do you mean to remove the plastic from the mechanism? If so, it has already been jiggled out of there but it won't fall in the right position to get it out of the spark plug hole. It's getting frustrating now. And I'm not the most patient Claire.
  6. Thanks both. No, it's not threaded. Just a shaped piece of plastic that pushes in and slots into the metal 'fins' on the housing. We'll have a fiddle and see what we can do, Cheers, Claire.
  7. Hi everyone, New here so apologise if something like this has been asked before. My other half is a tree surgeon (and technophobe, hence me being here), and has just managed to snap the end of the tool that helps remove the spark plug from an MS201T. It is broken right on the bend of the tool and about 2.5 cm of the plastic is inside the piston pot still. We can see the plastic but can't grab it with anything. Does anyone have any advice on getting the piece out as I'm getting pee'd off with the swearing coming from the garage now. Thanks in advance. Claire.
