  1. Iisten to your saw

    Burying tip is acceptable

Watch out for tensions in limb as you cut

    Roll ,Twist etc.

    If at height

    Perform a square cut

    Under first

    Then sides

Then straight down through prepared square

Which drops large limb almost straight down , a little drooping towards stem though if fast enough no problems .

You can just cut through middle of limb then cut half way through

    Use your instincts

    Try not to overheat bar

    Keep teeth sharp

  2. Right,

I use a swiss army 'pump action' petrol burner two rings which fold out from main bottle ....

Hisses like a train at full pelt... Boils a big kettle in under 40 seconds...

    Glows cherry red v quickly...

Cost about £65 ...from an army surplus

    The dogs proverbials ....

I like your iron idea ... Would keep one warm I reckon ...

A combination of coal and wood , a little fat to get it started or 'chain oil'

The swiss burner comes in a neat two & a half foot box .. Ones perch whilst cooking up...

It never blows out even in a gale ....

  3. Mmm

Well the site had the grace to post your ...

    Umbridge ....

Not sure what to expect from a forum ,though people professional or otherwise are generally good sorts , with lots of experience & common sense advice ....

    .

  4. No chip box on my landy...

A friend recently spent £5000 on a stainless tipping custom built box... Impressive !!!!it was also oversized on a 130 ,so I imagine oversized is ok...

Just wind to watch out for...though landys are just boxes ...

My 110 is rated at 3500 ... No idea why, also has 365 76 R16 tyres !!! Not sure if it was all upgraded as a V8 conversion ?

Geared for towing pulls like a train .

  5. I have a 110 V8 ...

I would be carefull about towing 3.5 tonne

Hills would be an issue , so ask in a landrover forum ...

Air brakes are mentioned when discussing towing ...

Though many posts suggest landrover is better for real towing .. As opposed to hilux etc...

I owned a hilux & it was fun ... Though landrover heavier & more secure footing whilst towing...

    Hope this helps....

It would depend on your trailer & brakes & four wheeled trailer deffo better....
