Hi all,
Due to increased work load we are seeking to add a new team to our highways division. The work involves highways vegetation management, some tree care and Traffic Management installation. We are looking for some one with experience in this type of work, who is enthusiastic and very hard working. Chain saw CS units, chipper ticket, tm qualification and spraying ticket are an advantage. A driving licence that can tow over 750kg is a must! You will need to be over 25 for insurance
You would be operating out of Dartford, kent working within a 100 mile radius
Plenty of opportunities for overtime, sats, suns, nights, callouts
PM me for more info!

What condition is it in? Is it rough grass or well maintained?

Hi All,
I am after some guidance! One of our clients has decided not to accept paper permits, but will not add us to use THEIR EToN system, so insist on us using an EToN system of our own.
Does anyone here use an EToN System, we only need a small basic system, can you point us in the right direction and a rough cost that you incur ! PM me if you dont want it discussed openly.
Thanks for your help

Genny and radio will pick up fiber, aslong as its armoured, which most bt is.
-
Round our way an aviation line runs under a hospital, straight through front gardens
-
Lazy utility workers put gas pipes 2" down when they cant be bothered!
-
A good example is: fiberoptic cables dont show up with only a CAT, and if you dont know how to operate a genny properly you will never find Fiberoptics.
However the whole world runs on fiber now (not just your home internet, but banks, big business, hospitals)
Did you know if you hit fiber its about £1500 per hour that it is down, and the WHOLE length of cable has to be re run.....ouch.
Some street light cables wont show up as they are switched from the main lamp column so are 'dead' all day long, and become live at night, so a CAT scan will not pick them up during the day, but using a genny correctly will....
The course is scary as hell when you find out whats about and all the risks, deffo well worth doing....
-
Get a Genny aswell, and then do a 1 day course, following the course ull realise you'd have missed 99% of what's in the ground if u hadn't got a Genny n trained, we just have and OMG in considering never digging ever again!
-
Moreover, who is TRAINED to use one? If you think you can use one but havnt been trained, you may be surprised how much you don't know!
-
Dawgs not digging in are they?
-
Depends n your county, we are a TM company and you DO need permits in certain countys, call their highways dept and they will tell you if you do or not, generally if they operate a permit system you WILL need permission from them. The govt has put more emphasis on pedestrian care now days, not just traffic.

Our busy Highways Operations crews have an opening for the right, enthusiastic & Motivated person.
The work involves Installation of TM and control of roadside vegetation from ground level upto 5.5m. Both Scrub, Hedge, Vege and Trees.
The role also encompasses tree & shrub Planting on the highway.
The ideal candidate needs to have a full UK Driving Licence and be over 25 for Insurance. CS 30, 31 & Chipper would be good , but not essential, likewise Streetworks or sector scheme 12d would be ideal, but training can be given
This is a Temp Role until Christmas, but may be extended or made permanent for the right person!
We are in Dartford, Kent and operate through out Kent, Sussex and Surrey
PM for more details

We have had this in the past, Sometimes the home owner will ignore the issue as they do not have the money or confidence to appoint a contractor to fell the tree. Sometimes a helping hand can be the school writing and offering to arrange the contractor, and pay the contractor, all the school will need is written permission to access land and fell the tree.....works for us!
Sometimes we dont have all the facts on their situation, so that can be the fastest route to a resolution

Considering how much the government bang on about unemployment, i CANT get staff! So no ive had no luck

Hi Guys,
We have an opportunity to sub contract some hedge cutting (by hand and tractor).
There is plenty of work to be gotten through, and so a good opportunity to fill your boots with work!
It is all in the Kent area, Mainly around Dartford & Maidstone.
We are looking for full crews to complete tasks, or free lancers to works with our teams for a while
The days are full days on 1 site, so no silly 1 hour jobs.
If anyone is interested PM me
Thanks

We have a few projects coming up this summer that we will need some extra hands on, so we are looking for experienced climbers to carry out reduction work in SE London & Kent borders
We are NOT looking for crews, just FL climbers with all Climbing kit, a plus if you have rigging!
PM with rates and availibility
Thanks!
