  1. Down here in Essex, we would be charging around £15 a metre for four rail fencing, although we find the horsey crowd the tightest of them all ;-)

Gates would be on top of that, standard 10ft 5 bar gate around £200 fitted

Hope that helps, and happy new year :-)

  2. Hi all,

Have had a very large order of split hardwood logs come in that I can't cover completely, can anyone in the essex area deliver 10 - 20 cube of seasoned hardwood, split between 8-10 inches long?

Long shot I know but always worth an ask!

Please PM me with prices, could come and collect if it helps. Delivery would need to be in CM3 area, just outside Chelmsford.

Also happy to look at smaller / larger loads. Just let me know what you have.

    Thanks guys and gals

    Matt

  3. Can invoice to go be used on multiple platforms is, phone, tablet and computer?

    Cheers

Yep, it's cloud based so can be accessed via the internet on a 'normal' PC, the app can be downloaded on a tablet and / or phone and all used together - as soon as one is updated then the others automatically update.

  4. Welcome to Arbtalk :-)

The rate for a tree surgery crew tends to be around £500 - £800 a day, including climbing kits, saws, truck and chipper and either 2 or 3 guys.

By the sounds of it your neighbour had a very expensive 'tree team' in, however there is an argument that if the customer is happy to pay it then that's up to them, surely they would have had more than one quotation for the work?

I for one, wouldn't be pricing a job like that anywhere near £2750, but I haven't seen it either!

  5. Ahh yes! To be honest when on site it's always being worked, as soon as it's not, it's in the back of the van and on the way back to its nice warm container :-)

  6. Matt, how do you stop the fairies taking it if it's a push button start?

It's very well locked down Paul! We store it in a steel container, in a locked barn with vehicles parked in front of it! To be honest, whether they had a key or not it wouldn't stop them! Hope you're well mate :-)

  7. Thought I'd show a few of mine...

Been involved with bikes since I was tiny, ridden trials, enduro, motocross and some road racing stuff over the years. Worked for Kawasaki's BSB team running around all over the country, ran my own off road bike shop and still dabble in a few bits now.

I still have plenty of contacts in the bike world so anything you guys need, gimme a shout as I can usually get some pretty good prices on bits :-)
