Funnily enough Oakley I just saw your Facebook post and have saved it, was going to call tomorrow.

Thanks for the advice guys.

Can anyone recommend a place to hire a stump grinder in Exeter area, to grind out western red cedar stumps, around 12" diameter, got about 15 of them to do.

Can get to you with compact tractor and log splitter, when do you need it doing?
-
This has come up a lot recently, loads of kit on eBay, trainers saying that they are doing less and less courses. Is it possible that the boom from felling all that Larch has finally come to an end with it almost all gone?
-
Stick to what you know you like.
-
Sorry if there is a topic started on this I couldn't find anything.
What sort of prices are people getting at the moment as I'm hearing some are getting £40 a tonne?
-
Thanks guys

I'm looking for someone with a mulcher that can smash some bramble on the edge of a small woodland, unfortunately they have grown over a couple of years and are now close to covering the newly planted trees. The wood is in the Ashburton area.
Many thanks

875 loader is more likely to have 3 cylinder sub frame/brackets.
Also a massey 550 tractor should have the same bolt spacings.
Thanks CJ
Jon I've messaged you mate
-
Finding a loader is easy. Finding the right brackets may be a bit more tricky...
Ahh, this I did not know. The brackets are something you have to buy separate then?
-
hi jim there's some on ebay mate thanks jon
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Hi Jim I think that what we have on a 165 special fitment job it was only made for three cylinder but it did fit my four-cylinder 165 it lift well over ton easy thanks Jon
Ok thanks Jon I'll have to scour the bey

The only downside of the mf 80 is no down pressure as single acting rams.
What about the 880 mate?
-
You don't see many 360's about so you are unlikely to see a loader advertised to fit one.
I think the more popular 240 would have the same hole spacings and would use the same sub frame.
I believe the MF80 loader was available with a 3 cylinder sub frame.
Thanks CJ

Cheapest option would be MF loader a 80 or newer 880 very easy to fit but not the most powerfull loader but depends what you want to move with it.
Is your tractor 4 wheel drive.
Yes mate 4x4. I want it to move brash and the odd log.

Hi Jim how old is the tractor 360 is a small 3 series MF yes same series as the 390s yes but like you say only 3 cylinder thanks Jon
Yea that's right Jon, 1989 I think

Flowfit online, very reasonable and fantastic service, I think their pto pumps are around £200
Thank you Drythropple I'll have a look.
-
Hi Jim that's right low flow on must old thanks BUT THATS great way to over come it cheap that what we done thanks Jon
Where did you get yours from Jon? Anybody else have a good supplier for this?
-
Hi JIM can ask what use the PTO PUMP for mate thanks Jon 👍
Couple of foresters I spoke to said to be wary about putting stress on the tractor, that and as mentioned it would speed it up.
Interestingly/frustratingly the grab has stopped opening!
When will I be underpowered?

I run a 60hp Massey with 6ton timber trailer, great size for woodland work, turns on a sixpence, but has the extra grunt that the smaller tractors seem to lack. Always go bigger than you might need as I struggle with some stuff. Those little tractors grip really well though!
