  1. Hope someone can tell me what the wood from a really big old Lebanese Cedar would be as useful for? I understand that cedar is good for both outdoor and indoor furniture (am thinking of maybe a couple of outdoor seats for long term use) but the tree is having to be felled because of its age (not diseased as far as we know, just in decline and starting to drop branches). Does the age of the wood affect its usefulness?

    If we make seats we can choose to lie the trunk section down & simply cut the seat shape out (rustic look) , or have it "sliced" on site and made into something like a more conventional bench.

    Any ideas for uses for the rest of it? (there will be a lot!) We are keen to keep as much as possible within the school grounds/buildings or use it for Tech projects.
