  1. Quick update, finally got to test out the Dan saver and love it! Very easy to install and does exactly what I expected! Cheers Paul!
  2. That's the one, its a US site though so I may as well get a Dan House saver as I'm paying postage anyway.
  3. I thought it would be useful for climbing up to put my pulley saver in when I can't get a throw line up. Don't want to wear out my favourite trees!!!
  4. Anyone know of a UK mail order company that stocks these?
  5. Everyone just needs to chill out.
  6. I thanks ppl that have made comments about possible dangers of my system and am making changes to address these, didn't want EVERYONE to think I was dissing them :0)
  7. It's got to be practical if YOU are going to use it, I can do whatever I want, I'm not hurting anyone, not even myself! Maybe my ideas are **** for everyone, maybe they work for someone, who knows, not me, not you! If someone is doing something that will put them in danger, comment. If someone asks if something is a good idea, comment. If someone is just putting something out there for others to look at and think about but doesn't ask you to rip it to shreds, maybe keep it zipped.
  8. I'm sure ill experiment, I've got friends who tree climb on traditional kit and will and have give it a go, half the fun for me is playing around seeing what i can put together to do different stuff on. Just coz I'm in a tree doesn't mean I can't try different techniques and styles, every anchor is an anchor :0)
  9. You say what's the point, I say why not.
  10. Hi Dr Mc After this photo I changed the tether to the center hole in the rigging plate, I'm not thinking of it for fall prevention as such although it would help a little, but can use it to anchor to something or bypass a clip in if I needed to sort something out in an emergency :0/
  11. Here's the action shot from today, sorry gear pic is awful and full of thumb! Gives you a bit of an idea. And also my cambium now with added Pinto Rig!

  13. Mmmmm someone deleted their posts :0/
  14. In short yes you can, it's not as easy as with a pulley but then you get no creep when you stop, works best with an ascender of some sort.
  15. Hahaha 18 Stoner, that could happen but would only bother you if u r a pu55y :0P I alway worry more about the ID as that is quite heavy! Honestly though its not really an issue, it weighs about the same as a carab.
