  1. Cheers guys, great advice. I forgot to say - I'm in Bolton up in the northwest. If anyone's local and wants it just let me know... If not, I'll hunt out a few local woodturners to see if they'd like some (I'll let you know how they want it and how much for too)...
  2. Hi, Me and a tree surgeon mate of mine are taking down a 40ft monkey puzzle tree in my back garden next weekend. The trunk is about a foot diameter. Just wondering if (a) anyone on here wanted it or (b) any tips of where to get rid of the timber - from what I read it's not great for burning so don't know if anyone would take it off freecycle or similar.
