During WW2 there were Canadian loggers based in Breamar, they were felling in an area called Mar Estate, now called Mar Lodge Estate, and they left an area of uncut tees in the shape of a Maple Leaf, (still visible on Google maps).

This was also the site of a early scottish ski resort, 1962, which failed due to bad luck with scottish winters.

This mob are who you need, might be a bit expensive though?, I had a mate from years ago went over to work with them for a while.

The Deep Blue is specifically a rigid or flexible pipe lay vessel it doesn't lay cable as such although it will occasionally lay in field umbilicals, in S lay mode (off the reel) it can lay 4" - 16".

In J lay mode from the tower it can do up to 36" in 3000 meter water depth.

I used to work on the Deep Blue, one of the vessels pictured, holds various records for subsea pipe installation.

I purchased the Riko one, has County written on the side? I think it's made of cheese! it's used on a U25-3a if it makes any difference. I have had the gas axe and sledge on it on numerous occasions.

Anything from FIVE TEN for super tacky soled MTB shoes.

4SN hose is a bit heavy for running a grab, SAE 100R2-AT in 1/2" is good for 3500 psi.

Hi, wondering if any one knows the size of hose/fitting on the crowd ram of my U25 and also the aux breaker lines, 3/8" or 1/2".

I would obviously go and look but I am working away from home at the moment and would like to order up some hoses and fittings for when I get home so I can plumb up a grab/rotator.

What about Kubota U20-3a for the 2 ton class, a few used ones pop up for sale regularly, I just purchased a U25-3a, great little machine, just deciding which attachments to get for it.

We have a 550 Grizzly with power steering on the farm, diff on the back as it has independent suspension at the rear, great thing never misses a beat starts first time every time and being a farm quad not much maintenance if any gets done, think I might of changed the engine oil 4 years ago:sneaky2:

I have heard taking vitamin B supplements is good as your body secretes some chemical when you take it daily that biting insects don't like, but I am not a doctor so can not verify this.

Decided against the 365 from the state's due to the fuel/tuning issues you guys talk about.

So what should I be paying for used but good 372/365/460?

Sheesh! think I will just keep using the 346 and do multiple cuts, all this talk of porting saws has sent me to the cow shed:lol:

Skip chain? Now you are getting way to technical, so 365 wouldn‘t be much use then, it would only be for the base/thickest bit the move down to the 346 or smaller bar on the 365.

Has to be husky so it matches the TE610:biggrin: Cant strap a Stihl to a husky crosser just wouldn‘t be right!

And taking two cuts, takes to long to walk round the other side, i‘m a farmer time is tight! And my saw skills are not up to you guys, heavy tractors and machinery help an amature like me though.

Hi all, been a lurker for many years, not a pro arb just a humble farmer who seems to spend a lot of time cutting up wind blown stuff around the farm, keeps the stoves and burners going all year so shouldn't complain.

Anyway, my trusty 346xp has been great for years and is still going strong but I have some big softwood I would like to deal with, 2-3 feet across at the base so looking for something that will take 24"-36" bar for occasional use, so a big pro saw will be wasted on me and cost lots!

My mate is off to the states next week and I have found a dealer in the states who is selling 365 specials for £400, so my question is will that pull a 28" bar and chain or should I be looking for something else?

It has to be husqy by the was because I have a TE610 for blatting around the land on: biggrin:
