  1. Thanks osm. Is there a way of checking this or is it a matter of replacing the seal and going from there?
  2. Need a bit of help fellas. My pallax 35 recently developed a whine coming from the gearbox/hydraulic pump. The oil also foams and turns the colour of the inside of a crunchy bar.. ive changed the oil thinking water contamination, i cant find any leaks. Ive ran it at tick over and the oil still froths up. Any ideas?
  3. aw do. ive got a small hiab 008t that i bodged onto my trailer a few years ago. i use it for unloading bags of logs. its worked a treat, but has started sounding laboured when slewing. ive looked for maintenance manuals and found nothing. can anyone tell me what worm gear oil i should use? also i cant seem to find a drain plug.. cheers
  4. Good points. Will it be suitable for what we are wanting to do?
  5. me and me dad have been thinking about selling the old zeta and some other stuff to go halfs on a 92 unimog. money is an issue and we are thinking this might do everything not too bad. general lugging dutys and getting out in winter for dad. loading the processor, running the processor and deliverys when the weather is bad for me. the machine has a tipper body and hiab fitted. need some other opinions as im beginning to chase my own tail!
  6. thanks for the replys chaps. gives me some ideas to work with.
  7. hmm, expensive and complicated are not for me... cheers mate. we have an old zeta, but space is tight round there and would like to free up the tractor. suppose what im after is a pto power pack. small, self contained and can be pushed around on wheels. not sure how to get there at the moment though.
  8. hello all. recently got a second hand palax 35 ergo. are these the thoughts of a mad man or is there any chance that a jcb beaver or the like would run the processor through a pto gear pump? cheers
  9. it is... ive tried reporting these to ebay, but the drop box options don't describe the situation. tried ringing them, was on hold for 45 mins and then put the phone down there quick to take my money though....
  10. lol, that wraps it up! I know you wont believe this but I actually looked at the ship lapped farm house in the picture and thought it looked more American than Scottish. thanks for the replys chaps
  11. anyone recognise it? pretty pissed off. this is the third processor ive wasted my time bidding on and turns out to be a scam. first one ive "won" though.
  12. Hakki Pilke 1 x 37 Firewood Processor | eBay see if this works
  13. that's the first thing I asked him. not an option. thanks for the welcome.
  14. don't know where this should be posted. first post as well so hello all.. I won a halki pilkki 37 last night. anyone on here bid on this? the seller wants a bank transfer. I said no, I will pick up and pay cash, to which he said I would have to wait two weeks to do this and in the mean time he will offer it to another bidder who has seen the machine, is willing to have it delivered and pay by BACS??? any thoughts?
