Joining the land rover club!! Looking for a decent defender 90 in the hants surrey area

i bought a ms261 as my first saw, running it on a 16" and doing a perfect job, grunts its way through some fair size timber!!

Haven't had any trouble with my 261 so far, running good and doing the job just fine

MS261, great ground saw with plenty of power.

mental!! to be honest I find the 'just lob it under the shelter' approach works quite well!! Just not as artistic....

My 261 has been fine except for the clutch drum bearing failing , but been good since .

I heard through the grapevine that a load had to he sent back to stihl due to a failure but never heard what it was... I guess now if the fault has been fixed there's not much to worry about??

Just wanted some thoughts and opinions on the 261. Had some very mixed reviews!!
Had decided to invest in one but just wanted some opinions from the guys in the know

550 xp 50cc saw cracking saw all you will need and more try forest &arb Winchester 01962 857951 speak to Richard or jason are doing some very good deals on Huskys at present. and very good after sales service.
Yeh will probably buy from forestandarb, went in the the other day to have a quick look. Just wanted to get some advice from people in the know first

Looking for something relatively lightweight, being a lass, as much as I hate to admit it I cant be lugging a massive saw round all day...
Timber probably wouldn't be much over 200mm diameter much of the time, will be for some basic felling and playing around making firewood

Running my ms261 on 3/8 now, good little saw, had no problems at all. Been working sweet as a nut every day in the woods since bought it in feb
